Dr. Antonio Benitez Garcia

Antonio is an international educator, consultant, and speaker with over 10 years of professional experience working in China. He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, where he also contributes as Deputy Director for the Master’s Program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. His background spans both academia and industry, combining hands-on experience in hospitality and tourism management with a strong academic focus on entrepreneurship, innovation, and cross-cultural business practices. Before entering academia, Antonio worked in the cruise line and hotel sectors, gaining valuable expertise in customer service, international business operations, and the global tourism industry. Having lived and worked in six countries and visited more than 60 others, he is well equipped to share cross-cultural insights and highlight emerging opportunities in the Chinese market. With a Masters in Business Administration and Tourism, and a Doctorate in Business Administration. He delivers tailored seminars, workshops, and keynote conferences for universities, corporations, and professional organizations, whether at the corporate level or small teams, addressing topics such as: China’s business and entrepreneurship landscape, cross-cultural management, changing management, high effective teams, and Corporate Training Strategies for hotels and tourism businesses to attract and serve mainly Chinese travelers. He has also been invited as a TEDx panelist at New York University Shanghai, sharing his insights on Entrepreneurship and China’s dynamic innovation ecosystem. Passionate about bridging cultures and business, Antonio delivers sessions in both English and Spanish, making his programs accessible to a wide international audience.
